FROM THE SOUTH VIA A 52 / A 40
COMING FROM COLOGNE / DÜSSELDORF:

From the A52 motorway (Autobahn) take the A 40 towards Bochum and use the first exit "Essen-Frillendorf". At the first traffic light turn right into the street "Ernestinenstraße". Follow this road to the end. At the end of "Ernestinenstraße" turn right at the traffic light into "Gelsenkirchener Straße". Follow the tram rails until you see a shaft scaffolding on the left side.

OR BOCHUM:
Use the exit "Essen-Frillendorf" and turn right into "Frillendorfer Straße". At the first traffic light turn right and continue as described above.

FROM NORTH VIA A 42
FROM DIRECTION OF GELSENKIRCHEN - DORTMUND OR DUISBURG - OBERHAUSEN

Use the exit "GE-Hessler" exit and turn into street "Schalker Straße" with direction "E-Katernberg". Then straight ahead to Katernberg until you reach the street "Gelsenkirchener Straße".

(Note: The tram rails also turn into "Gelsenkirchener Straße").

Then follow the "Gelsenkirchener Straße", until you see the shaft scaffolding.

Public transport

You can reach the site by public transport via the stops „Zollverein“ (tram line 107, also „Kulturlinie“) and „Zollverein-Nord“ (tram line 107, also „Kulturlinie“, bus line 170, bus line 183, or suburban train line 2).

Right before you arrive the Zeche Zollverein - follow the signs:
„Parkplatz A2“ (black sign, white font A2).
The OKTOGON or Hall 21 is the building with the large steel framework.
